On International Women’s Day, and every other day of the year, PAGSE recognizes the remarkable contributions of women to science and engineering. As an organization that strives for all Canadians to benefit from research and innovation, we strongly believe that gender equality in the scientific community fuels progress and excellence. Despite significant efforts to eliminate barriers to participation and narrowing gender gaps in post-secondary STEM programs, women hold less than a quarter of all STEM roles in the workforce.
PAGSE is committed to upholding EDI principles into our work, whether in selecting Bacon & Eggheads speakers or ensuring equitable representation on our council. Let’s work together to advance the careers of women in STEM and empower the next generation of women to realize their potential as scientists, engineers, and innovators.
