The communications team plays a crucial role in expanding PAGSE’s reach and strengthening existing relationships with council members, sponsors, Parliamentarians, and other organizations with similar aims as PAGSE. As we gear up for the next parliamentary year, we are in need of volunteers for:
- Fundraising (putting together sponsorship packages and outreach)
- Social media (currently, we are on LinkedIn and BlueSky, but we are open to exploring other platforms)
- Website maintenance
- Creating special content for the monthly newsletter (e.g. the Thoughts from the Hill column, council member features, commemorative days relevant to science and engineering)
- Amplifying Bacon and Eggheads announcements
- Representing PAGSE at external events, such as the Canadian Science Policy Conference
