This flagship lecture series brings together Parliamentarians and other policymakers in the federal government with experts in science and engineering, showcasing outstanding accomplishments from researchers in Canada. Its purpose is to provide unbiased insight into topical scientific issues, within a non-partisan forum. This prestigious forum represents a unique opportunity for scientists to communicate important findings to a distinguished and influential audience. Past speakers have included Nobel Prize laureates and NSERC Herzberg Gold Medalists.
If you would like to suggest a topic or a presenter, please fill out this form. We are open to nominations for researchers in academia, industry, and government at any stage in their careers. Nominees are evaluated based on their ability to communicate to a non-specialist audience and the relevance of their area of expertise to bills being read in the House or Senate and more broadly, to issues of concern to Canadians.
